Bishop Vaughan Pupil Wins Mission Gallery Art Competition

Seven pupils from Bishop Vaughan were selected to exhibit their art work at the Grand Theatre this week as part of the Schools Art Network exhibition. On Wednesday 27th June there was a private viewing of the exhibition.

The Mission Gallery judged the work exhibited and selected two winners. Emil Sibayan from Bishop Vaughan was one of the winners for his extraordinary detailed self-portrait created from paper cut outs.

This is the second year running that a Bishop Vaughan pupil has won this competition. Adam Charlton won last year with his amazing sculpture of his aging man.

The Schools Art Network exhibition continues until Monday 2nd July. Emil’s work will then be exhibited at the Mission Gallery for six weeks over the summer holidays.
