BISHOP VAUGHAN

The Junior Legion of Mary is a group of pupils who commit to living out their faith through prayer, service and outreach. Guided by the principles of the worldwide Legion of Mary, this group, the only Junior Legion in Wales, undertake works of charity, support parish and school events, and help those in need within the local community.

In school, members may assist with preparing and leading prayers, supporting Masses, or helping younger pupils with faith activities. In the wider community, they participate in charitable initiatives such as visiting local care homes and hospitals, supporting parish outreach projects, and organising fundraising activities to help those in need.

Through regular meetings and activities, pupils develop a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith and learn to put Gospel values into action. The Junior Legion of Mary encourages responsibility, leadership and compassion, giving pupils the opportunity to grow spiritually while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
