THE LITURGICAL YEAR
The liturgical year is central to the life of our school, helping pupils and staff to experience the rhythms of the Church’s celebrations and grow in faith throughout the year. In school, we mark the key seasons of the Church calendar, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time, with prayer, liturgies and special events.

During Advent, we prepare for the coming of Christ through reflection, prayer, and acts of kindness, while Christmas celebrations focus on joy and gratitude, including our two annual Carol Services, which are always well attended and help to bring the wider community together in song and worship. Lent is a time of reflection, repentance and preparation, culminating in our Easter celebrations, which highlight the resurrection of Jesus and the hope it brings. Throughout Ordinary Time, we continue to explore Gospel teachings and live out our faith in daily life.

Our school community comes together for seasonal Masses, liturgies and devotions such as the Rosary and Stations of the Cross, ensuring that the liturgical year is lived and experienced in meaningful ways. These celebrations nurture spiritual growth, strengthen our Catholic identity, and provide opportunities for pupils to participate actively in prayer and worship.
