What a great day today has been! We’re delighted to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE results, following on from last week’s Sixth Form success stories!

The results represent a significant achievement for pupils across the year group, with many students securing strong passes and outstanding grades across a broad range of subjects. These outcomes reflect not only academic success but also the commitment and perseverance shown by pupils throughout their studies.

Among the highest achievers was Alvina, who gained 14 GCSEs at grades A* to C, including an outstanding 12 A* and A grades. Reflecting on her success, she said:

"I'm so proud of how I've done. I didn't expect it at all, but my advice would be that as long as you put in the work, you will see the results."

Nihaka also achieved an exceptional set of results, gaining 14 GCSEs with 11 grades at A* and A. Speaking after collecting her results, she said:

"I'm so glad to receive these results. I just kept going with my revision."

Lily, who likewise achieved 14 GCSEs with excellent grades across the board, added:

"I am extremely happy with my results, and I want to thank all my teachers for all of the support given to me."

Headteacher Emma Pole said:

"Today is once again a day of celebration for our pupils, their families and our staff. The success of our pupils reflects their diligence, resilience, ambition and determination throughout their GCSE studies and prior to that too – this is the culmination of so many collective efforts, including that invested by their primary teachers.

The pupils, their teachers throughout the years and the parents and carers should all be very proud of the outcomes that these pupils have received today, these being the passport to future so many exciting opportunities and paths.”

Chair of Governors Sam Pritchard agreed:

"These excellent results are a testament to the dedication of our pupils, the unwavering support of their families and the commitment of our staff. As governors, we are proud to see our young people flourish. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to all pupils and wish them every success for the future."

Bishop Vaughan Catholic School congratulates all pupils on their achievements and thanks staff, parents and carers for the support they have provided throughout the year.
