The school is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent A Level results, reflecting the hard work, commitment and resilience of our students, supported by the dedication of our staff and the encouragement of their families.

We are particularly pleased to report a notable increase in the number of A and A grades achieved compared with 2025, demonstrating the exceptional academic standards being maintained across the school. These results are a testament to the determination of our students and their commitment to achieving their full potential.

Albie Maddock who gained A*, A and A in his A levels and goes on to read History at University reflected on his time as an A level pupil:

‘The most important thing is to balance work and revision with something enjoyable and for me this was sport and engagement in wider school life. Bishop Vaughan will always provide the tools to achieve and it’s up to you to use them – you won’t regret it!’

Head Girl Jasmine Hoskins, who gained two A* grades and an A grade in her A levels and a B at AS level, echoed Albie’s sentiments:

‘Believe in yourself and trust that the work and effort you have put in will pay off.’

Reflecting on the strength of the school community and pastoral life, Isaac Dudding who has gained Distinctions and merits in his BTEC qualifications noted:

‘I have loved my time at Bishop Vaughan, made friends for life.’

Another pupil, Tegan Holohan, gained two starred Distinctions and an A grade and is heading to university to study Adult Nursing. Tegan stated:

‘I’m grateful to the school for all the support that I have received and all the staff who helped me get here.’

Headteacher Emma Pole reflected:

"We are incredibly proud of our students and all that they have achieved. It’s a privilege to see them receive their results knowing that they have received an education which has not only increased their knowledge and skills but which has also helped to shape them into ethical and responsible young citizens with strong Catholic values.

The increase in A and A grades this year reflects both their hard work and the unwavering support provided by our dedicated staff, families and governing body. These outstanding results open up exciting opportunities as our students move on to university, apprenticeships and a wide range of future careers. We congratulate every student on their success and wish them every blessing for the future."
