School Closure - Friday 8th May 2026

Dear parents and carers,
Due to an issue with our gas supply, affecting hot water and kitchen facilities, the school will be closed to most pupils on Friday 8 May while we work to resolve the matter. The gas has been switched off since an issue was identified and there has been no risk to pupils today.
Work will be set for all pupils via Teams, and we ask that this is completed at home where possible.
The school will remain open for pupils who have scheduled external examinations. These will go ahead as planned, and staff will be on site to support those pupils.
School buses will run as normal to bring pupils in for their examinations in the morning. Parents are asked to make arrangements to collect their children at the end of their examination.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We will keep you updated with further information as soon as it becomes available. Yours faithfully,
