School Closure - Monday 5th January 2026

Dear parents and carers,

Our school site has been thoroughly assessed today and our site team have worked tirelessly to reach  a point of it being safe. However, it is still very icy with compacted snow in parts which makes it too dangerous to open. I therefore regret to inform you that school will be closed for all pupils today.

This decision has not been taken lightly and the safety of our students, parents/ carers and staff is our highest priority. All students are asked not to travel to school. The bus companies have been informed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide an update regarding tomorrow as soon as we are in a position to do so. Please check ClassCharts and the official school website for these updates.

Where it is possible, teachers will set work on Teams for students- please ask your child to check Teams for work which will have been provided.  Parents and carers are also asked to encourage individual study time today.
